Industrial legends Ministry have announced a final album, titled Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery), as well as a farewell tour. Ahead of the album’s October 30th release, the band has unleashed the single “Burned Out.”
Keeping his promise that the next Ministry album would be the band’s last, frontman Al Jourgensen is putting a wrap on the highly influential band that he formed back in 1981.
A press release reads, “Done. Sayonara. Finito. However you want to say it, Ministry is coming to an end. But before bidding adieu, creator and music madman Al Jourgensen has a few final things to say about the state of the world, those in charge and how we should all collectively move forward.”
For the band’s 17th album, Jourgensen is joined by guitarists Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto, bassist Paul D’ Amour, sampler/synth player John Bechdel, and drummer Pepe Clarke Magaña. Classic Ministry member Paul Barker returns for the song “We’re Still Here.”
“Burned Out” is an industrial-metal track that is accompanied by a visually stunning music video that combines live action and animation, created by Jourgensen’s onetime Revolting Cocks bandmate Joshua Bradford. The song itself features sampling from television news reports mentioning the Epstein Files, ICE, and the Russia-Ukraine war, among other topics.
For now, Ministry have announced the UK/European leg of their “Goodbye” tour, set to take place in Spring 2027 with support from Die Krupps. The outing runs from April 2nd in Utrecht, Netherlands, through May 1st in Helsinki, Finland.
A full US tour will follow, although details are yet to be unveiled. In the meantime, Ministry will play a handful of previously announced US shows this fall, including a couple of gigs with Acid Bath, and the festivals Louder Than Life and Sick New World (pick up tickets here).
