Venezuelan pop duo LAGOS have recruited disco legend Nile Rodgers for the title track of their new album, Las Cosas Que Solo Se Hacen En La Noche, out today (September 10th) via Warner Music México.

LAGOS confirmed Rodgers’ appearance on Instagram ahead of the album’s release, teasing the record with a 12-hour countdown that spotlighted one song every hour. Rodgers appears on “Las Cosas Que Solo Se Hacen En La Noche,” while the 12-track project also features collaborations with Yorghaki and Miluhska.

The Chic mastermind is a particularly fitting guest for LAGOS’ latest evolution. Comprised of Luis Jiménez and Agustín Zubillaga, the duo have described their new sound as something like Daft Punk meeting “merengue disco,” folding electronic production and Caribbean rhythms into the Latin-pop songwriting that established them across the Spanish-speaking world.

Las Cosas Que Solo Se Hacen En La Noche marks LAGOS’ third studio album and arrives as the duo continue expanding their profile throughout Latin America. Their “En La Noche Tour” kicks off September 12th at Auditorio BB in Mexico City, followed by stops in Monterrey and Guadalajara before heading to Spain in November and Latin America in December.
