Terminator 2: Judgment Day is turning 35 this year, and the best way to recognize that is with another theatrical re-release. Director James Cameron’s legendary 1991 sequel will be in movie theaters from August 28th through September 2nd, in 4K, RealD 3D and premium formats.

This will include the date of August 29th, which real ones know was the original date of the titular Judgment Day. Yes, it was on August 29th, 1997 that Skynet became self-aware and decided to try taking out the human race… at least according to T2. (Since the second movie, the continuity’s gotten a little complicated.)

Said Cameron in a statement, “T2 was made for theatres, and our lovingly-prepared 3D version, coming back to the big screen, is the absolute best way to see the film. I believe it’s safe to do spoilers after 35 years, so SPOILER ALERT: The good guys win against the AI superintelligence! And maybe that’s a message of hope we all could use this summer.”
