The Avalanches have revealed the full tracklist for their upcoming fourth album, No Bad Memories, and this time they’ve assembled a stacked lineup of collaborators. Across its 31 tracks, the Australian group links up with Jamie xx, Panda Bear, Karen O, Rivers Cuomo, Mike Patton, Barry Can’t Swim, Carly Simon, Haruomi Hosono, Ryoji Ikeda, Haley Joel Osment, and many more.
Due out October 16th via Modular Recordings, No Bad Memories also features appearances from Loaded Honey, Vegyn, John Glacier, Erick the Architect, Suzanne Ciani, Khadija Al Hanafi, Portraits of Tracy, Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and Prentiss. Osment, meanwhile, pops up on two commercial-inspired interludes, “El Dorado TV Spot” and “Superfun!™ TV Spot,” the latter of which also features Patton.

Several of those collaborations have already made their way out into the world. As Consequence previously reported, the album was announced last month alongside “Can’t Get Over Losing You” featuring Portraits of Tracy. Before that came “Every Single Weekend” with Jamie xx, “Together” with Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and Prentiss, and “Blue Shadows” featuring Karen O.
The newly revealed tracklist shows just how far they’ve pushed their collaborative streak. Rivers Cuomo appears alongside Vegyn and Baby Marlboro on “All The Time In The World”; Panda Bear guests on “Highfield”; Barry Can’t Swim turns up twice, including on “Magic Wand”; and Carly Simon appears on “One More Fantasy.” Patton contributes to three songs — “Paradise Island,” “Superfun!™ TV Spot,” and “Total Recall” — while Yellow Magic Orchestra co-founder Haruomi Hosono closes the album on “The Pavements Light.”
The Avalanches also shared a new trailer for the record starring Osment and created with Liam Oz. It fits into the surreal corporate universe surrounding No Bad Memories, which was inspired by the way jingles, ads, startup sounds, and brand identities can wiggle themselves into our brains and stay there long after the products themselves have gone.
Notably, the digital edition of the album includes four tracks unavailable on the physical versions: “He Lives In The Old World,” “El Dorado TV Spot,” “Total Recall,” and the Loaded Honey version of “Final Credits.” Vinyl, CD, and cassette editions get an exclusive track of their own, “Evergreen Altar” featuring Vegyn.
