The Stray Cats have announced a 2026 US tour taking place throughout the summer.
The news arrives less than six months after the band cancelled their 2025 tour due to frontman Brian Setzer’s illness; he had previously revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease affecting his hands and his ability to play guitar. However, Setzer confirmed in a statement that he’s feeling “strong and healthy” and ready to get back on the road with the group: “There’s something about the unique sound of The Stray Cats that keeps drawing me in. The Gretsch guitar, the acoustic bass, and the stand-up drums still sound pure and fresh today. Come on out and have some fun with us this summer.”

The Stray Cats’ 2026 tour will commence on July 24th with a show in Las Vegas, followed by stops in cities like Phoenix, Del Mar, Santa Rosa, Colorado Springs, Kansas City, Westbury, and Atlantic City. Though they had to inevitably cancel their 2025 run, The Stray Cats have remained active in recent months. Last year, they released their first new music in six years, offering the new song “Stampede” as well as a cover of Eddie Cochran’s “Teenage Heaven.”
