A number of tribute bands are coming together for the “Nu-Metal Values Ozzfest Rehash Tour.”
The outing features tribute bands devoted to Korn, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, System of a Down, Disturbed, Chevelle, and Sevendust. The three acts performing on most dates are Twist (Korn), Full Nelson (Limp Bizkit), and Diamond Eyes (Deftones), with select appearances by Oldschool Hollywood (SOAD), Projekt Hybrid Theory (Linkin Park), Stricken (Disturbed), Forfeit (Cehvelle), and Redefined (Sevendust), with tickets available here.

The organizers of the bill stated, “For so many of us, Ozzfest wasn’t just another show… it was the soundtrack to our summers! The parking lots, the band shirts, the unfortunate sunburns, but mostly the feeling that you were exactly where you were supposed to be!! This fall, we’re bringing that feeling back with tributes to Korn, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, System of a Down, Disturbed and more!”
The “Nu-Metal Values Ozzfest Rehash Tour” takes its name from Family Values and Ozzfest, both key festivals in promoting nu-metal in the ’90s and 2000s. Family Values was founded by Korn in 1998 and over the course of its longevity featured Korn, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, and Sevendust. All seven bands represented by the tribute acts on the upcoming tour played on various Ozzfest bills throughout the years.
Ozzfest proper has been the subject of a revival as of late, with talk from Sharon and Jack Osbourne escalating quickly from a maybe to definitely, with plans to stage the metal extravaganza in Birmingham, England, and North America.
All seven tributed bands are still active. Korn recently released a new single titled “Reward the Scars,” which we named Heavy Song of the Week. Limp Bizkit have floated an idea of a festival for misfit bands. Deftones are currently preparing their newest installment of their annual Dios de los Deftones festival.
Meanwhile, Chevelle are currently preparing for a tour with Breaking Benjamin in the fall. Sevendust have released their newest album, ONE which we named one of the best of the year so far. They are also preparing for a tour with Theory of a Deadman kicking off this August.
