Westside Cowboy have released their debut album, It Goes On, via Island Records. Stream the album below.
It Goes On was produced by Loren Humphrey (Geese, Cameron Winter) and was recorded at Greenmount Studios in Leeds, UK. “We wanted to make an album for our younger selves, one that reminds us of all the bodies of work that made us fall in love with music. We wanted the music to be instant, concise, and honest to us as people today,” the band said in a press release.
The Manchester four-piece first previewed the album in May with the lead single, “Kick Stones (The Boys).” On the impressionistic, anthemic rock song, Westside Cowboy took inspiration from Velvet Underground’s “What Goes On.” Their second single, “Pin Up Boys,” rang out with big chords strummed with fury and shout-along lyrics.
