Jeff Rosenstock is an American punk musician born in Long Island, New York. Known for his bands The Arrogant Sons of Bitches and Bomb the Music Industry!, he has also garnered attention for his highly-acclaimed solo releases. He is also known for his work as a composer for Craig of the Creek. He founded Quote Unquote Records, the first donation-based record label.
Bomb the Music Industry! earned Rosenstock attention for the band's DIY ethos, earning them the nickname "the Fugazi of the internet age," due to making their music pay what you want on Quote Unquote Records' website, and keeping shows inexpensive and for all ages. Shortly after the breakup of BTMI!, Rosenstock released his debut "mixtape," I Look Like Shit (2012). His first solo album, We Cool?, would come out in 2015.
Across his solo releases, various songs would gain popularity, such as "Nausea" and "9/10," and were met with critical acclaim. He has worked with many other punk and ska bands, such as AJJ and The Bruce Lee Band. Rosenstock relocated to Los Angeles, California, with his wife in early 2020. His most recent solo album came out in August 2023, HELLMODE.
