Run the Jewels

Run the Jewels are an American hip-hop duo formed by Brooklyn-based rapper and producer El-P, and Atlanta-based rapper Killer Mike. In 2011, the duo were introduced to each other by a Cartoon Network executive. After working with one another on each of their solo projects, R.A.P. Music and Cancer 4 Cure, the two decided to tour together in 2012. On June 26, 2013, Run the Jewels released their self-titled debut album on Fool's Gold Records.

The duo’s new era began in 2014 with the release of Run the Jewels 2, which led to performances at music festivals Coachella and Bonnaroo. Two years later, in 2016, their third self-titled album arrived. The track “Legend Has It” would be featured in Marvel’s Black Panther teaser trailer and in the NBA Finals.

In 2018, the group was nominated for a Grammy for "Chase Me" (Danger Mouse Featuring Run The Jewels & Big Boi) in the Best Rap Song category. Their latest album, RTJ4, was released on June 5th, 2020.
