Dr. Thomas Cockrell conducts his final concert after 26 years as the UA School of Music?s director of orchestral activities and Nelson Riddle Endowed Chair in Music in a program of Verdi, Brahms, Strauss, Copland and Riddle. Joining the ASO will be orchestra alumni, School of Music faculty members and the Studio Jazz Ensemble. Metropolitan Opera soprano Latonia Moore will crown the evening with Richard Strauss?s sublime Four Last Songs.
