About:
For this concert, Brass Mask convene to celebrate the release of a new LP, CYGNUS. The intensity and directness, focus on melody, bass lines and textures that were hallmarks of Brass Mask’s previous releases (‘Spy Boy’, (Babel, 2014) and ‘Live’ (Babel, 2017)) can still be heard on this latest album. On it, Brass Mask begins to move differently, accessing various lines of connectivity and modularity. Ensemble sections swarm into solo sections and different materials, all with a sense of direction that can be expected from an ensemble that first performed in 2012.
