Los Angeles-based Dilated Peoples have managed to perform amazing feats on the thin line between hip-hop’s underground and mainstream.

Formed of Evidence and Rakaa (Iriscience) and DJ Babu (of the World Famous Beat Junkies), they made much of their name performing live on the international club and festival circuits. Having performed multiple tours and achieved a number of 12” singles, they’re also revered for classic records like ‘Worst Comes To Worst’ (featuring the late, great Guru of Gang Starr), ‘Back Again’ and ‘This Way’.

All movements begin underground, and Dilated Peoples has maintained their roots while continuing to extend their branches—entertaining and inspiring people around the world with classic material, solo and crew projects.
We’re bringing their explosive live show, proudly showcasing the rhythm and sound of the culture, to Jazz Cafe to celebrate 25 Years of Expansion Team.
