THE EMERALD DAWN are a multi-instrumentalist, symphonic art-rock quartet known for their cinematic, atmospheric, and emotionally powerful sound. Blending elements of rock, classical music, jazz, folk, and world music, the band creates richly textured compositions that are both epic and intimate, experimental yet deeply melodic. Their music often feels like a soundtrack—painting vivid images, telling stories, and taking listeners on immersive musical journeys.
Originally formed in Edinburgh in 2010 as a duo by Tree Stewart (keyboards, flute, 12-string acoustic guitar, HandSonic, vocals) and Ally Carter (guitar, saxophones, keyboards), the band relocated to St Ives, Cornwall in 2011 and expanded their line-up with drummer Tom Jackson. The current incarnation was completed in 2018 with the addition of David Greenaway on basses, bringing further depth and dynamic range to the band’s sound.
The Emerald Dawn have built a strong reputation on the live circuit, performing extensively across the UK, headlining multiple festivals, and appearing at the prestigious ArtRock Festival in Germany. This year they will be performing at Crescendo Festival in France. Their performances are celebrated for their intensity, musicianship, and immersive atmosphere.
To date, the band have released six critically acclaimed studio albums and received numerous awards, including being voted one of the Top Ten bands in the most recent Prog Magazine Readers’ Poll, and have established themselves as a significant force in modern UK progressive and art rock. Their latest release, ‘The Land, the Sea, the Air (Volume I)’, was launched to widespread acclaim in October. The album forms the first part of a double concept project exploring environmental themes, with Volume II planned for release in 2026.
Widely praised by critics as one of the UK’s most exciting progressive rock acts, The Emerald Dawn continue to push creative boundaries while delivering music that is haunting, beautiful, and unforgettable.

CANDAGRAIG are comprised of Sharon Cannings (vocals, keys, mandolin) and Martin Nicholls (guitar, cello). Originally actors, they have been composing dark, alternative music since 1992. Making the leap to full-time musicians in 2015, they depped for various established tribute acts, from ABBA to 90s Dance anthems.
When lockdown shut down their only source of income, they returned to the body of work they had been writing for the last 25 years, added new material, and reworked old songs to create their first album, ‘Thunder of Whispers’.
The second album, ‘Lit by Lightning’ came along two years later, to critical acclaim and lead to Candacraig playing various prog festivals including Fusion, Danfest, Nene Valley Rock Festival and HRH Prog. In 2025 they were voted as 5th Best New Act in Prog Magazine and have developed a reputation for imaginative and engaging live shows, utilising custom made videos to accompany their sound. 2026 Will see the release of an album of remixes by Cosmograf’s Robin Armstrong, followed by an EP later in the year. Work will also start in earnest on a concept album. Described by The Prog Mind as ‘if Renaissance and Fleetwood Mac had a baby, and named it Pink Floyd’ their shows are a mix of light and dark, with plenty of onstage banter.
