La Orquesta Esa is a vibrant Latin-jazz ensemble carrying forward the legacy of masters like Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Ray Barretto, Celia Cruz, La Lupe, and Orquesta Akokn. Their mission is to celebrate the depth and diversity of music across Latin America while offering a contemporary voice and expanding the canon with original works.Since the groups founding, Ginita has kept the music evolvingadding new pieces to every performance, tailoring shows for each audience, and even incorporating fan requests sourced through Instagram and her website.Founded in 2024, La Orquesta Esa has quickly built a strong following and the support of Jazz at Lincoln Center. They are now a fixture in the tri-state Latin and Latin-jazz scene, holding a twice-yearly residency at Dizzys Club and performing in Lincoln Centers summer festival in partnership with the Times Square Alliance. Beyond New York, the band has begun making appearances on the West Coast through collaborations with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the SFJAZZ Collective. With the backing of Chamber Music America, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and The Jazz Gallery, Ginita released Ginita y La Orquesta Esa: Live at The Jazz Gallery, recorded with her mini big banda prelude to her upcoming studio album made possible by Chamber Music Americas Performance Plus Grant.Learn more at www.badeeduh.com/loe and follow along on Instagram: @badeeduh.
