The street sounds of the Colombia’s Caribbean meets merengue, champeta, punk, and hip-hop with precise percussion and inventive vocals.
Formed in 2014, the trio quickly made their mark, winning Best Emerging Group at Sucre’s Festival de Gaitas de Ovejas in 2015.
Over the past decade, they’ve toured the globe, collaborating with the likes of Frente Cumbiero,La Dame Blanche, and Nubya Garcia along the way.
On stage, La Perla are compelling and immersive: intricate vocal lines, ancestral drums, and an energy that honours tradition whilst pushing it forward.
