Written and recorded between London and Los Angeles, the album reflects a shift away from rigid planning toward instinct, play, and openness. What began as a tightly controlled concept ultimately evolved into something far more expansive. As Meg puts it, “I thought I had this whole album planned out — I was going for this dark, witchy vibe and I was so serious. Then honestly, not one thing went to plan and I was forced to let go for once in my life.”

That release became central to the album’s emotional core. After years of intense self-pressure, Meg found a new creative rhythm by loosening control and embracing collaboration. “I’ve spent most of my career being stressed,” she says, “but somehow I stopped trying to control it all and found the magic in being open and not worrying so much.”
