Mehmet Erdem is a Turkish singer-songwriter, musician, and composer known for his contributions to pop music, film soundtracks, and television series, blending acoustic pop, folk, and traditional Turkish elements in his nostalgic and melancholic style.

Born on December 31, 1978, in Manisa to a family originally from Malatya's Arapgir district, Erdem displayed an early passion for music, receiving his first instrument—a mandolin—at age five and later mastering the bağlama, ud, and cümbüş.
