Winter Hoedown

Country Struts is a line dancing community turning beginner scooters into full-blown Strutters through weekly classes and events across Melbourne.

The Winter Hoedown is where it all comes together - part participatory dance experience, part live show. You’re not just watching, you’re in it.
The night starts with the basics and by the end you’ll be shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of Strutters, with live music and performances woven through the experience.

Step onto the Country Tundra for our 2026 Winter Hoedown.
Running order:

– Doors open / arrivals
– Beginner line dancing lesson (everyone involved, no experience needed)

– Nth vs Sth Dance Battle
– DJ Gay Dad to take it home
– Woven through the night will be moments where our experienced Strutters take over the floor.
A chance to sit back and enjoy the show before jumping back in.

Arrive early — the night flows as one full experience, and the opening lesson sets you up for everything that follows.

It's Winter on the dance floor. Fur collars, fluffy boots, and leg warmers encouraged.
