Having recently moved to her newly adopted home in Dublin, multi-Emmy Award-winning comedian, actor, author and talk show trailblazer Rosie ODonnell is returning to the stage with her one-woman show, Common Knowledge. Known for her razor wit and magnetic stage presence, Rosies stand-up career spans four decades, since winning the Star Search in 1984. She pitched the idea for Stand-Up Spotlight to VH1 and hosted the show for several years before branching out into acting. Throughout her career, she has taken on an eclectic range of roles, starring in films such as A League Of Their Own, Sleepless in Seattle and The Flintstones, and countless television roles, on shows such as SMILF, Nip/Tuck and Curb Your Enthusiasm. She also produced and starred in the Emmy nominated HBO documentary All Aboard! Rosies Family Cruise. Most recently Rosie appeared in HBO Maxs And Just Like That. Rosie was the host of the groundbreaking Rosie ODonnell Show, for which she won eleven Emmy awards and left a memorable mark on American television. However, Rosies extensive work as a talk-show host didnt end there. She was a regular cast member on renowned chat show The View between 2006 and 2015, often demonstrating her passionate advocacy for causes close to her heart. Rosie also hosted The Rosie Show on the Oprah Winfrey Network, as well as Rosie Radio on Sirius XM. Through the years, Rosie has been heavily involved in the world of theatre, both on and off-stage, appearing on Broadway in productions including Grease and Fiddler on the Roof. She has hosted the Tony Awards three times, earning her yet another Emmy Award in the process. She was awarded the Isabelle Stevenson award at the 2014 Tony awards in recognition of her substantial contribution to humanitarian, social service, or charitable organizations. Rosie has long been an advocate for a number of causes including LGBTQ+ rights, adoption, mental health awareness, and gun control. In 2003, She founded Rosies Theater Kids, a non-profit arts education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts. Since relocating to Ireland in 2025, she has continued her philanthropic efforts through her support of As I Am, Irelands autism charity as well as notable LGBTQ+ charitable organizations. In addition to comedy, film and television, and philanthropy, Rosie has authored two memoirs, Find Me and Celebrity Detox. Her new show, Common Knowledge premiered in Dublins 3Olympia Theatre in July 2025 before continuing with a sold-out ten show run at the Edinburgh Fringe, and an international run that included an Australian tour to the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne in October 2025, followed by performances across Ireland and Glasgow in March 2026.
