Established in 2001 this band is the only tribute to have performed with two original founder members of Blondie, legendary drummer Clem Burke who is sadly no longer with us, and songwriter, bass player and prolific author Gary Valentine. BB had the honour to be thanked for their support on Blondie’s 11th album ‘Pollinator’ in 2017 and played the world famous CBGB in New York City 2006. In 2019, to celebrate 40 years since the release of Blondie’s iconic album “Parallel Lines” Bootleg Blondie played two UK tours with Clem Burke under the band name CBBB (Clem Burke & Bootleg Blondie)!
Bootleg Blondie can be seen at all the major venues and festivals around the UK and Europe, having played the Isle of Wight Festival, the 100 Club, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, the Hammersmith Palais, the Electric Ballroom London, Eric’s Liverpool, Dingwall’s London and have opened for amongst others The Undertones, Slade, The Beat, Rhoda Dakar, Bad Manners, Sophie Ellis Baxtor, Faithless, UB40, Sister Sledge, Bootleg Beatles, Heaven 17, Toyah, Visage, Hazel O’Connor, Tony Hadley, Altered Images, Bananarama, David Essex, Nick Kershaw, The Idles, Big Countryand the wonderful Chas and Dave!

Why do we have a restoration Levy?
Put very simply, our restoration levy is an additional charge added to your ticket price which is directly invested back into the venue. This money is used for critical maintenance, repairs, and preservation efforts to ensure the long-term sustainability of the building. As the 3rd oldest church building in Glasgow, dating back to 1836, Saint Luke's requires ongoing care and special restoration to maintain its historic character and facilities. This levy will enable us to fund essential projects that will safeguard the venue's future as a vibrant hub for live music and community events.
