South Florida Pride Youth Band Season 15, presented by FLoatarama, brings together high school students from across the tri-county area to perform alongside members of the South Florida Pride Concert Band-demonstrating the bridge-building power of music in our community. These students have been rehearsing for the past month and will perform under the direction of Dr. Erika Svanoe, composer and conductor of the University of Wisconsin-Stout Symphonic Band. New this year is the introduction of the South Florida Pride Youth Jazz Band, led by Mr. Edgar Rubio, along with the inaugural FLoatarama Jazz Band Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Additionally, ten or more $1,500 college scholarships will be awarded to members of the Pride Youth Band. One exceptional student will receive a $7,500 scholarship through the 4th Annual FLoatarama Soloist Competition and will be featured as a soloist with the South Florida Pride Concert Band in May 2026.
