From July to October 2026, When Rivers Meet return to the stage with the Rhythm Rust & Static Tour, following the release of their brand-new studio album Rhythm Rust & Static, out in spring 2026.
Recorded with an intentionally stripped-back, analogue-inspired approach, Rhythm Rust & Static captures the raw essence of When Rivers Meet, intimate, gritty, and emotionally charged. The tour reflects that same spirit: a smaller, more focused on-stage setup, delivering a huge, immersive sound that puts songwriting, feel, and connection at the heart of the show.

Audiences can expect to hear all ten tracks from the new album performed live, alongside a carefully chosen selection of favourites from the When Rivers Meet back catalogue. Across this 14-date UK tour, each night promises a powerful, close-quarters experience.

On stage, When Rivers Meet remain exactly what they have always been: Grace & Aaron Bond. They are joined by long-time collaborator James Fox, adding depth and texture through percussion, guitar, and backing vocals. With three musicians on stage, the sound is expansive and full-bodied.

Fresh from a run of remarkable chart success including a Top 10 Official UK Albums Chart entry with Aces Are High and a #4 Official UK Albums Chart with Addicted To You, alongside multiple Official UK #1 positions across genre and format charts, When Rivers Meet continue to prove that independence and ambition can go hand in hand.

This is When Rivers Meet at their most distilled and most intense.

When Rivers Meet are very pleased to announce that Greene will be our special guest for the 2026 Rhythm Rust and Static Tour.

Greene is the musical project of Joe Anderton. Born in Chelmsford, Greene takes the maiden name of his mother. After spending some years as a member of Connor Selby’s band, and lending writing credits to such acts as The Cinelli Brothers, Anderton now uses Greene as a vessel for his own output.

A sound that is steeped in pop melodies and often introspective and whimsical lyrics, Anderton has drawn comparisons to acts such as Loudon Wainwright III, and is praised for his unique take on universal topics. Greene’s debut EP, The Content Creator, was released late 2024. 2025’s release, Now I’ve Got You Listening, was a departure from the initial sound. A short album that includes some of his most vulnerable work. Greene’s single, Three Finger Carrie, shows a subtle nod to the garage rock that has served as an influence.

Greene’s live performances are personal and profound, as well as humorous and authentic.
