Gojira have announced a new edition of their breakthrough album From Mars to Sirius in honor of its 20th anniversary.
The new edition comes as a double gatefold on a zoetrope picture disc via Listenable Records on July 31st, with pre-orders available here. The 20th anniversary reissue of From Mars to Sirius is limited to just 3,000 copies worldwide.
From Mars to Sirius, which was released in September 2005, is considered one of the acclaimed French metal band’s finest recordings. In fact, it landed at No. 1 on Heavy Consequence‘s ranking of Gojira’s studio albums.
Gojira are currently on tour in Europe as part of Metallica’s ongoing M72 world tour and have upcoming US appearances at Rock Fest, Upheaval Festival, Inkcarceration, and Louder Than Life, with tickets availale here. G
Meanwhile, Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier recently contributed to the new Bear McCreary single “Black Box” from the composer’s upcoming album, The Singularity: Ekleipsis.
