Melania Trump is calling on ABC to cancel Jimmy Kimmel Live! after the comedian staged a faux White House Correspondents’ Dinner monologue and repeatedly mocked the first lady, her husband, and other members of the Trump administration.

In a statement to social media on Monday, the first lady said that “Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America.”

“People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate,” Tump continued. “A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.”

“Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community,” she concluded.

In the monologue, which was taped and aired prior to Saturday’s dinner, Kimmel joked that Melania had “a glow like an expectant widow,” and mocked the release of her documentary. “Her documentary had a score of 10% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a website named after her husband’s testicles,” Kimmel joked. “And I want to congratulate you, Madam First Lady, on your huge accomplishment: the world’s first motionless picture. And before we go any further, Melania, this is Donald. Donald, this is Melania. That was my impression of Jeffrey Epstein. Pretty good, right?”

Kimmel was previously pulled off the air in September 2025 following remarks he made regarding Charlie Kirk’s murder. His suspension followed an FCC pressure campaign against local TV syndicators; however, Disney reinstated him after just nine days following intense pushback from creative guilds and free-speech advocates.
