I am glad to see the city partners coming together to celebrate Ozzy’s influence on music and his pride in his hometown.”

Ozzy passed away on July 22nd, 2025, just 17 days after he performed his final concert as a solo artist and with his band Black Sabbath at the “Back to the Beginning” concert at Birmingham’s Villa Park.

Recently, the metal legend’s widow Sharon and son Jack announced that an interactive Ozzy avatar is being developed, with Jack noting that the project embodies “the digital DNA of Ozzy Osbourne, voice, image [and] movement.”
