When Travis Barker began dating his now-wife Kourtney Kardashian, he indirectly signed up to be on one of the world’s most popular reality TV series. However, in a new interview, the blink-182 drummer insists, “I don’t even realize I’m on the show.”
During an appearance on The New York Times‘ Popcast to promote his new Hulu documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear (premiering August 13th), the punk-rock musician was asked about appearing on the reality series The Kardashians, which also streams on Hulu.
“I kind of don’t even realize I’m on the show,” responded Barker, eliciting laughter from the Popcast hosts. “To be honest… I don’t watch the show. I think the best way for me to deal with stuff like that or to be part of things like that is to not really acknowledge that I’m being filmed or that anything different’s happening.”
He continued, “I never even approve episodes or watch them… I’m not on the show as like a main character where I have like interviews and I do whatever. I’m usually just… I’m an accessory.”
Previously, Barker was a main character on his own reality show, Meet the Barkers, which aired for two seasons on MTV and chronicled his life with his now ex-wife Shanna Moakler, and their children, Alabama and Landon.
After 20 seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians on E!, the famous family moved over to Hulu for The Kardashians beginning in 2022, shortly after Travis and Kourtney began dating.
