Doja Cat

Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, known by her stage name Doja Cat, is an American rapper and singer hailing from Los Angeles, California. She began posting her music on Soundcloud as a teenager, and her song "So High" caught the attention of Kemosabe and RCA Records. Through them, she released her debut EP.

She uneventfully rolled out her debut album Amala in 2018, but became a viral success with the song "Mooo!," a novelty song that became a meme about being a cow. In response to her growing popularity, she released her sophomore record, Hot Pink, the following year. The album reached the top 10 of the US Billboard 200.

Her third studio album, Planet Her, spent several weeks at number two on the Billboard 200, and spawned multiple top ten singles. In 2023, she released her fourth album, Scarlet, which marked a stark shift in sonic tone, moving away from the heavily-pop-influenced hip-hop of Hot Pink and Planet Her towards a more-traditional hip-hop styling. In spite of this change in direction, its lead single "Paint the Town Red" became her first number one on the Hot 100.
