The Palm Springs Unified School District and Musical Theatre University present the smash musical comedy hit FOOTLOOSE, based on the 1984 film of the same name. starring as cast of talented young people from throughout the region. Footloose tells the story of Ren McCormack, a city teen who moves to a small town where dancing is banned, and he challenges the local preacher's restrictive rules, leading to romance and community healing. The show, which opened on Broadway in 1998, includes both new songs and hits from the movie like "Holding Out for a Hero" and "Let's Hear It for the Boy".
