Te Arawa Kapa Haka Regionals will be held over 2 days at Rotorua International Stadium. Kapa Haka Regionals are held biennially where contenders fiercely haka-off to represent Te Arawa at the forthcoming Te Matatini national kapa haka festival. In 2027 it will be hosted by Tainui waka at Hopuhopu. 27 kapa haka roopu representing tribes within the Te Arawa region spanning from Maketu on the eastern coast through to the southern boundary at Mt Tongariro, will take to the stage over the two days.
