Violet Grohl is bringing her raw, captivating sound down under for two headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

The 20-year-old singer-songwriter and producer arrives on the heels of her debut album, Be Sweet To Me. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Justin Raisen (Kim Gordon, Yves Tumor), the record marries honeyed, expressive vocals with heavy sludge, droning guitars, and noise-pop bite. With impressionistic lyrics, Lynchian film influences, the record was inspired by a lifelong love of late-’80s and early-’90s alt-rock, from Pixies and Cocteau Twins to Soundgarden and PJ Harvey.

Grohl has been singing and playing music as long as she can remember, teaching herself ukulele and later guitar while hauling the instruments around on both school and tour buses. Stepping into the spotlight with a sound entirely her own, Violet turns raw personal moments into high-impact alternative anthems, anchored by standout tracks like ‘Thum’, ‘595’ and ‘Bug In A Cake’.
