Sabrina Carpenter loves her some RUSH. The pop superstar attended one of the legendary prog-rock act’s recent reunion shows, and previously expressed her admiration for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band in a segment with famed internet personality Nardwuar.
The hit-making singer posted a photo dump on Instagram on Monday, offering fans a pictorial update on her latest happenings. While most of the pics are glamorous shots of her at various events, one photo is an image of RUSH in concert, presumably taken from her phone.
Carpenter was spotted by fans at the second of RUSH’s four shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, so the concert pic checks out (it was even liked by RUSH frontman Geddy Lee). She set the band’s “The Trees” as the soundtrack to the image on her Stories, and as it turned out she got to see the band perform her favorite RUSH song at the concert she attended.
The “Espresso” vocalist also singled out “The Trees” when she appeared on Nardwuar’s YouTube show last year. While picking out out vinyl at a record store, she holds up RUSH’s 1981 double live album Exit…Stage Left, and comments, “This is RUSH for my dad, and I’m also a fan. I love ‘The Trees.'”
Carpenter will have plenty more opportunities to see RUSH, if she so desires, as the band has North American tour dates scheduled through December (pick up tickets here).
