Alex G

Alexander Giannascoli, known by stage names Alex G and (formerly) (Sandy) Alex G, is an American singer-songwriter hailing from and based in Pennsylvania. He began his career with independent releases posted on Bandcamp, such as Race and Trick.

His label debut was 2014's DSU, released through Orchid Tapes, which earned him critical acclaim. Shortly after this, Lucky Number reissued earlier releases Rules and the aforementioned Trick. In 2015, he signed with Domino Recording Company and put out his next several albums, including 2017's Rocket, which earned him further acclaim. Giannascoli has amassed a cult following as well as mainstream attention, and in January 2024 he announced that he had signed with RCA.
