Meet Getdown Services – your new favourite band and one of the UK’s hottest word-of-mouth acts! The brilliantly offbeat cult British duo has been turning heads across Britain and Europe with their balls-to-the-walls live shows, tongue-in-cheek wit, razor-sharp lyrics and infectious disco-fuelled grooves, teetering between chaos and genius. And now, after selling out tours across the UK and Europe, they’re bringing their riotous show down under for the first time in May/June 2026 – with shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and Wellington, presented by I OH YOU and MG Live.
Tickets go on sale Friday 14 November at 10.00am local time, with MG Live presale commencing Thursday 13 November at 10.00am local time. Sign up for early access to the MG Live presale here.
“I reckon we get people asking us to come to Australia probably every day, and everyone in England is moving there, so will be good to see what all the fuss is about.
“Always been one of those places where you’re like, ‘Fair enough, but I can’t be arsed with that. It looks mad – there’s snakes and also it takes 40 hours to get there.’ Will be good fun, though! Went to New Zealand to see a mate of ours get married a few years ago and thought it was a lovely country and I really liked those pies they have. It felt quite similar to the UK in a lot of ways, so playing gigs there should be fun!”
Getdown Services
For those in the know, Bristol-based duo Josh Law and Ben Sadler – aka Getdown Services – are THE must-see new act of the year. And if you don’t know yet, you will soon … and you’ll wish you got in early! Named as “one to watch” at this year’s Glastonbury Festival and dubbed (by the band themselves) “Britain’s Best Band”, their live shows are equal parts smart, sweaty and gloriously unhinged. Their sound is a wild blend of scrappy indie disco, twisted funk and post-punk energy, turning the absurdity of modern Britain into dancefloor gold.
The pair met at school in Minehead, Somerset and now make music together at home in Bristol – churning out what Rolling Stone called “power disco with unrepentant silliness” with a healthy dose of satire and swagger. Their highly lauded debut album Crisps (Breakfast Records, 2023) showcased their eclectic danceable grooves and biting social commentary, and a mix of sharp, funny social observations wrapped in irresistible, funk-fuelled rhythms. Follow-up EPs Your Medal’s In The Post, Crumbs and latest, Primordial Slot Machine, cemented their cult status, alongside an arsenal of red-hot singles – including James Bay’s Hat, Dog Dribble, I Got Views and Eat Quiche, Sleep, Repeat.
“Getdown Services are unrepentantly silly and constantly deliver one of the most joyously deranged live shows – just one of the best live bands out there!”
Rolling Stone
“Their live show is as daft and as exhilarating as they come. Five stars.”
Buzz Magazine
“Genuine contenders to being the most exciting and interesting band in the UK right now.”
CLASH
Getdown Services look set to gobble up the world, one crumb at a time. Whether you’re into danceable chaos, satirical genius or just want to be ahead of the curve, Getdown Services are the band you didn’t know you needed – until now! Britain’s favourite new band are about to become yours too!
Supporting Getdown Services are local legends DARTZ.
Proudly from Aotearoa/New Zealand, DARTZ have built their reputation the hard way: relentless touring, chaotic live shows, and singalong anthems that thread the needle between beer-soaked pub classics and earnestly ideological indie punk
DARTZ make rock songs about real lives, all rooted in the strange humour that comes with living at the edge of the world. Vocalist Daniel Vernon, guitarist Christan Pianta, bassist Clark Mathews, and drummer Hakopa Kuka-Larsen formed in 2019, three weeks out from what was only ever meant to be a one-off show. But the New Zealand four-piece hit the ground running, and six years on, DARTZ have never stopped moving at pace.
That sense of speed and urgency still informs their output: scrappy snapshots from the world’s southernmost capital, pulling directly from its run-down rental housing, battered Corollas, and postcolonial political tension. Though lyrics may skate between satire and sincerity, it’s clear that every DARTZ track is written for the people in the room - loud, messy, communal, and impossible not to sing along to.
In the years since, DARTZ have taken those loud, communal anthems as far as Europe and the UK, shared stages with Turnstile and FIDLAR, toured with Australian counterparts The Chats and Dune Rats, and even snagged a 2027 Foo Fighters support slot back home in New Zealand.
The band from Wellington aren’t here to answer life’s big questions: at the end of the day, they lie somewhere between “modern-day folk heroes” and “politically aware class clowns”, depending on who you ask. But beneath the chaos, DARTZ’s core mission remains clear: providing real representation for the place they come from and the people who live there.
