A special performance by two amazing artists, performing in our unique In The Box format.
Laura Misch is a London-based artist who uses her saxophone, voice, and electronic gear to mimic the patterns of the natural world. Her music feels like a landscape of sound, inspired by elements like wind, water, and stone. She focuses on creating a calm, reflective space that encourages everyone to listen deeply together. In this performance, she will be debuting brand-new material from her upcoming album Lithe for the very first time!
Afromerm is the solo project of Oram award-winning composer and sound artist, Cecilia Morgan. Her work draws from contemporary, jazz, and experimental disciplines, blending electronic elements with live instrumentation, field recordings, spoken and sung vocalisations, and her self-built motion-reactive instrument, Juniper, to create electroacoustic soundscapes that immerse us in the elemental mythology of her project.
Together, these two artists offer a new way to experience live music - one that focuses on community, connection, and a shared sense of wonder.
