Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and Marilyn Monroe in one room is not subtle entertainment, and it should not be sold that way. This is sharp-suited, high-gloss showbusiness: swing, wit, rhythm, diamonds, danger and just enough Hollywood trouble around the edges.

Stephen Triffitt leads the night as Frank Sinatra, a role he created in the original West End cast of The Rat Pack: Live from Las Vegas. He has spent years inside that phrasing: the conversational swing, the clipped timing, the way Sinatra could sit just behind the beat and make a lyric sound freshly poured.


Darren Charles joins as Sammy Davis Jr, bringing the speed, attack and showman’s snap that Sammy’s material demands, from "Mr Bojangles" to the brassy Rat Pack numbers that turn a room on its heel. 


Suzie Kennedy completes the line-up as Marilyn Monroe, with "Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend" and all the breathy comic timing, poise and Old Hollywood mischief that the role needs.

Expect "Fly Me to the Moon", "Mr Bojangles", "Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend" and more, served with the loose banter, brass-led swing and after-dark polish that made this era of entertainment so dangerously charming. Boisdale of Canary Wharf is exactly the right room for it: dinner, whisky, cocktails, a live band feel and a crowd close enough for every raised eyebrow to land.
