IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE IMAM & JOHN LENNON (REVISITED)
An evening with Tamer Nafar – “The Godfather of Palestinian Hip-Hop”
When Tamer Nafar first brought this show to The Barrel House Ballroom last June, it was still finding its shape. That night became something of a turning point in its development.
Now Tamer returns to Totnes with a newly evolved version of the show. If you saw it last year, this is your chance to experience how the work has grown. If you didn’t, this is a rare opportunity to encounter one of the most important voices in contemporary Palestinian culture up close.
This evening offers a unique and intimate journey through Tamer’s world. Weaving music, stories, film, and conversation, as he reflects on life as a Palestinian living in Israel and the role of art in times of conflict and transformation.
A powerful, thought-provoking and deeply human evening with one of the Middle East’s most compelling cultural voices.
